The EAA obliges companies to design their products and services in such a way that they can also be easily used by people with disabilities. What will change for sellers?
As an eBay seller, you must ensure that:
-Your product listings and accompanying information are designed to be accessible (e.g. easy-to-read text, alternative text for images, ease of use during the checkout process).
-You enter an accessibility declaration in your eBay account in which you specify how your listings meet the requirements.
eBay supports you with a function that allows you to enter this declaration directly in your seller account.
Why is this important?
The new rules are an important step towards equal access to online offers. People with visual, hearing, motor or cognitive impairments now have better opportunities to buy products online. As a seller, you actively contribute to making online retail more inclusive.
